Q. What does IRES do for you?

A. IRES places qualified candidates into PAID Internship/Traineeship programs for up to 18 months (up to 12 months in hospitality). We find you a placement; process all documents (including DS 2019, medical insurance and SEVIS). We will overnight the documents to you so you may apply for your J1 visa interview.

Q. Why should I participate in this program?

A. A Management or Front Line Traineeship in America is the perfect opportunity to enhance your skills in the field of your interest.  It will give you the opportunity to move up in your career and experience the exciting American culture. 

Q. What is the DS 7002 form?

A. The DS 2019 form is your Work Permit and will be issued to you by our partnering sponsor organization. You will need this form when applying for your J1 visa at the US Embassy.

Q. Is it a Paid Internship/Traineeship Program?

A. Yes, you can expect to earn the following wages:

·         Front Office: Between $8.50 to $12.00 USD

·         Food and Beverage: Average $9.00 - $15.00 USD (includes gratuity)

·         Culinary: Between $9.00 to USA $12.00 USD

* Other positions are based on experience and qualifications.

* Supervisors can expect to earn more.

Q. Will I have to Pay Income Tax?

A. Yes, you must pay Federal and State Taxes. You do not have to pay Social Security or Medicare taxes

Q. How many hours will I work?

A. The host company is required to provide an average of at least 32 hours per week.  Any hours worked over 40 will be paid at time and a half (also known as overtime)

Q. Does the hotel provide Accommodation?

A. You are responsible for your own accommodation for the duration of the training program. All hotels will provide at least two weeks accommodation at the hotel upon arrival. (There are a few hotels and host companies that provide accommodation)

Q. Can I choose the location of my placement?

A. Being open to all locations will maximum your placement search and also insures the fastest placement; however, we understand that for some reasons you may want a certain location.   Certain location request is considered custom placement and it will cost an extra and may take longer to place you.  We have FANTASTIC opportunities in great hotels and host companies in wonderful cities where all our trainees are extremely happy and we don't want you to lose out on these opportunities. If you wish to have a certain location please let us know upfront of your location desire.  

Q. Am I allowed vacation during my Internship/Traineeship program? 

A. All candidates are allowed 30 days past the end date on your DS-2019.  This time is granted to you for travel in the US.   You are not allowed to work during this time.

Q. How much is the program fee? 

A. Please email admin@ireservices.com for a list of program fees. Our fees include the following: 

·         Guaranteed Traineeship PAID placement

·         DS 2019 ( USA work permit)

·         DS 7002 (training plan)

·         Medical insurance

·         SEVIS payment

·         Ongoing support before, during and after your Traineeship placement

 

The fees do NOT include: 

·         Flight ticket

·         Visa embassy fee
